My name is Pastor Timothy Sserugga and l grew up in the Village of Kiryokya. I was raised in a
polygamous family with a very abusive father who only cared about the money he got each time he got
married. He had six wives in one house which made life very hard for us.
I attended Kiryokya Primary School, then Bukomero Secondary School. I struggled with school because I
had to ride a bicycle ten miles to get to school. I had to leave school to help with the family garden at
home.
Guerilla warfare dispersed many people in Uganda, the young woman that would become my wife came
into our village because of the great strife in our country. During that same time, the aids disease was
spreading in our country, so many people lost both parents and a had need for comfort and care. This
caused there to be many orphans in our village.
I met a young woman named Catherine who became my wife. She was taking care of some children
who had lost their parents and she would get some financial aid from my mother.
Catherine was born again and she is the one who introduced me to Jesus and l fell in love with both her
and Jesus. l started helping her out along with my mother and in 2012 l decided to legalize this work of
looking after these children because of all that we were doing for the children.
My wife and I make a wonderful team and each of us complement the other, we both have our
shortcomings, but together we make up for them and then some.
For our love of Jesus and the children, we go around preaching and winning souls in our own area. This
led to us starting a home fellowship and where we could worship our Lord and share the bible.
In 2014 l joined Link International to study for a Congregation Certificate, but out of love for Our Lord
Jesus and our call to spread the Good News, l had already started ministry work before getting the
certificate.
We were given the opportunity to buy a cornfield; it is in some of the media on this website. The children
have to eat and sometimes it is hard to feed them, we struggle with so many children. We work the
cornfields and wait for them for harvest time, this is much cheaper than buying corn flour, it can help us
for three months without interruption.
In our ministry, we go to places and we give hope to the hopeless, especially children. We can provide the
children with a safe home and a Christian education.
The work is a bit much for us, but we praise and thank God that He is faithful and never lets down His
creation at any one time.
